Go Software Developer
Position Description:
Versity is looking for an experienced software developer to accelerate our next generation storage software product. The role will primarily be focused on scale-out user-land application development that interacts with our Versity ScoutFS file system. We are looking for independent, self-motivated individuals who enjoys working with a highly motivated and nimble team.
Job Functions:
- Develop innovative technical features and solutions
- Designs, codes, debugs, and iteratively develops applications
- Works collaboratively with other engineers and architects
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks including troubleshooting customer support issues
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Go (Golang) experience highly desirable, or strong experience with C/C++ (3-5+ years)
- Distributed application development
- Focus on delivering software for production oriented environments
- Strong communication skills
Linux Kernel Filesystem Developer
Job Functions:
- Develops innovative technical features and solutions
- Designs and codes, debugs, and iteratively develops components of complex storage software systems
- Works collaboratively with other engineers and architects
- Should be flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks, including troubleshooting customer support issues
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Linux kernel internals
- Strong C/C++ skills
- Knowledge of multi-CPU, multithreaded architectures
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with device drivers and I/O controls
- Experience with commercial file systems and storage products
Senior Support Engineer
Versity is seeking experienced support engineers to join our growing global support organization. You’ll be the primary interface for our customers: triaging complex issues, collaborating closely with our product and engineering teams, and ensuring that every ScoutAM and Versity deployment meets our highest standards. Depending on your background, you may also lead system rollouts, deliver hands-on training sessions, and help shape our support processes.
- Respond quickly to incoming requests, diagnose multi-layer issues, and drive issues to resolution
- Analyze software and system logs to identify root causes
- Work across Versity software products, including ScoutAM, ScoutFS, Versity S3 Gateway, and future products
- Triage complex problems that touch software, hardware, and networking infrastructure
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and engineers to solve customer issues
- Assist customers with system deployments
- 5+ years of professional experience, with 3-5+ years of technical support experience
- Experience supporting storage management software, tape libraries, disk/object (S3) systems, servers, and networking (ethernet and SAN)
- Self-driven to take initiative and self-manage priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills: Must be able to communicate complex technical issues and solutions clearly to customers through written communication (email and chat), phone conversations, and live meetings.
- Ability to script or develop tools (Bash, Python, Go, etc.) to assist customers, automate repetitive tasks, and speed problem resolution
- Ability to work remotely and independently
